Missing OOBE when Setup Windows XP

Yesterday I helped my friend to reinstall his laptop OS. He bring his windows XP Cd-ROM and we began the installation. Everything run smooth after first time startup kick in. The product activation, registration and user creation did not show up.
This is a problem because the laptop seem to boot always in safe mode, even when I choose to Start Windows Normally. I couldn't install a program because the windows installer services didn't run.
I tried the internet for similiar problem but no luck so far. I might had missed something during the process but I still don't know where to began to work out this problem.
The Help and support, the Automatic Update, System Restore didn't run.
Or may be i need to do it again????!!

Windows Explorer's Thumbnail View for FLV file

I like to watch video from many source on the internet online. But sometimes I want to watch it off-line. So I need software that enabled me to download this video. Most popular format are flv file. This format is used by Youtube, yahoo.tv and other popular site.

There are bounch of free player to play this video when you have them download on your PC.

It's easier to select the video I want to watch if I can see the thumbnail, like the wmv, mpg one.
Now here is how to perform the tweak.

1. Download the codec for the flv file, I'm using K-lite codec mega Pack.
2. Create an registry (.reg file) using notepad of following content:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.flv\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]
@="{c5a40261-cd64-4ccf-84cb-c394da41d590}"

save it for any name, with the .reg extension.
3. Double click your newly created file, and add it to registry.
4. See how your flv thumbnail created by opening your video folder in windows explorer.

This trick will also work for another video file such as 3gp, mp4, or mov. simply create another reg file of the same content as step 2 above and changes the .flv key to any other format you want. For example:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.3gp\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]
@="{c5a40261-cd64-4ccf-84cb-c394da41d590}"

will create thumbnail view for 3gp file.

AdSense Kasian

Betapa gembiranya saat menerima email bahwa aplikasi adsenseku sudah diterima.
Buru-buru saya ke warnet untuk buka email dan cek account. Ternyata memang sudah di setujui.

Namun, tidak lama, saya ternyata harus kecewa lagi..........

Ternyata yang bisa saya akses cuma customized search engine code untuk dipasang di halaman blogku. Menurut bacaan yang diberikan google, ini juga bisa memberi kita penghasilan, tapi .....
Saya berharap bisa melihat iklan seperti di situs teman-teman koe.

Pelajarannya, tidak usah repot-repot mendaftar ke adsense kalau bahasa konten dari web yang kita buat belum dalam dukungan adsense, tetap akan diterima, tapi dengan penawaran kerjasama yang sangat terbatas seperti yang saya bilang tadi.


Kaciaan deh,...!

AdSense ku Diterima!

Setelah dua kali mengajukan aplikasi ke Google AdSense, akhirnya diterima juga!
Aplikasi yang pertama ditolak oleh Google dengan alasan blog yang saya bikin sebagian besar menggunakan bahasa yang tidak di dukung oleh adsense, dan karenanya saya harus mengajukan aplikasi baru dengan bahasa website "Bahasa Indonesia" pada saat mendaftar dan menggunakan alamat email baru. Beberapa bulan setelah aplikasi pertama, barulah saya coba kembali dan ternyata diterima, senangnya!!

Sepertinya memang lebih bagus membuat blog berbahasa Inggris, karena adsense mengutamakan bahasa-bahasa yang mereka dukung ( salah satunya bahasa Inggris).

Nanti akan saya coba buat satu lagi blog yang berbahasa Inggris. Sekarang ini, saya akan mencoba dulu dengan blog dan kesepakatan yang ada.
